One Page at a Time

Afternoon light falls on the wooden table, A gentle wind lets my heart rest. The whole wide world doesn’t need to hurry, Let the passing time do the rest. A single book lies open before me, Coffee slowly turning cold. Some questions still have no answers, But that’s alright, I’m told.

Life doesn’t always have to move fast, We don’t have to travel far each day. Just a moment of quiet stillness Lets the heart find its way.

Step by step, I walk along, Page by page, I read my life. The world is never running away If I breathe slow inside. Little by little, I learn and grow, Little by little, understand time. The story of this simple life Is written one page at a time.

Some days I think of little things, Some days I dream of far-off lands. A tiny seed can grow a forest If we give it patient hands. Meaning isn’t at the finish line, It lives along the road we take. Even if the journey is slower, It’s still a step we make. (Bridge) No one knows every answer, No one sees it all. But if we keep our hearts open, New paths will always call.

Step by step, I walk along, Page by page, I read my life. Life doesn’t have to be perfect As long as tomorrow arrives.

Afternoon light still shining On a quiet empty page, And I’m still learning gently From this ordinary age.
